Young journalist Pradip Debnath…who passed away… far from home…is finally returning today…

Anxious longing to return to one’s own soil…
At last, a silent story of pain is about to find its closure.
Young journalist Pradip Debnath, who succumbed to a lonely death outside his home state, is finally returning home today… but not alive—only as a lifeless body.
Amarpur stands still in grief… even the sky যেন seems covered with a heavy shadow of sorrow.
There were dreams, there was struggle, there was an indomitable will—
But fate can be cruel…
He had set out for Nepal seeking treatment for his eyes… but along the way, in Siliguri, he suddenly fell ill.
An unconscious, unidentified body…
Only an ID card—“Syandan Patrika”—
That single card carried the news of his final moments back to his family.
A silent battle on a hospital bed…
And then, on Tuesday morning—everything ended.

The lamp of a young journalist’s life was extinguished forever…
He began his journey with Duronto TV,
And in his final days, worked devotedly with Syandan Patrika—
A quiet, hardworking, dream-filled warrior of the pen…
Today, he is only a memory.
The most painful part—
The harsh reality of poverty…
The family was in such a difficult situation that they had to consider
Laying him to rest in Siliguri itself…
But humanity never fades away…
With the firm initiative of Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lathar,
And the sincere support of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha—
Breaking all barriers, pushing aside all darkness,
Pradip is finally returning to his own people.
With the joint efforts of Duronto TV, Syandan Patrika, and the Tripura Working Journalists Association,
His mortal remains are being brought back by air on Wednesday.
At his home in Amarpur—
He will rest one last time in his own courtyard…
Where his childhood lived, where his dreams began…
He will no longer cover any news…
Today, he himself is the news… a story of sorrow.
Farewell, Pradip Debnath…
Your unfinished dreams, your silent struggles—
Will live forever in our hearts.
